Corporate Branding - Abr Al Atheer
12:18 AM
The brief was very starightforward - The words 'Abr Al Atheer' need to form a horse. The words should be in English and Arabic and it should look corporate.
I didn't have to brainstorm for ideas or come up with any concepts. The client knew exactly what he wanted.
So I began the design process. At first when I started, I tried to create the entire horse with the words. Like this :
This is just a start so I know it looks ugly - but you have to keep going.
However, the client corrected me and said he wanted a rearing horse and wants the words to only create the outline.
So I literally printed about 20 silhouettes of horses and began outlining them with the words (pencil on paper - good ol hand drawings). I think by the time I reached my 12th or 15th outline, I had a pretty decent idea of how I wanted the placement to be. It was really fun to explore which lines I could elongate and which words I can curve to form specific parts of the horse.
I think the hardest was doing the face and tail. Because the rest of the body still looked like a 'body' but the face and tail gave me a hard time.
But a little tweak here and a little pull there later, here is the final:
The client was so pleased with it, he said - "its like you got into my mind and drew exactly what I was thinking".
Happy clients equal happy Madi :)
What do you think of the logo?
